I was born in San Francisco and did my undergrad work at UC Santa Cruz, where I studied painting and photography. I also studied in Italy and in Colombia. I moved to New York in 1988 to get my MFA at School of Visual Arts and lived in New York City until 2002. I have traveled throughout Europe and Asia, and have photographs from all over the world. I have shown in Europe, South America and the US, both in solo and group exhibitions. My work is in a variety of collections, including The New York Public Library, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Flemming Zulack and Williamson, and Chubb Insurance. I moved back to California, where I teach, work on my photography, garden, and sometimes paint too. I also have an art documentation business, photographing the work or collections of artists and collectors in the greater bay area, and I teach photography and photoshop privately. You can email me for any of those services, or if you are interested in purchasing any artwork.
